What are these RSS feeds I’ve been hearing about?

RSS or Really Simple Syndication is a web feed format that is used to let you know when your favorite web site or blog has been updated. The update is most commonly called a feed.

The RSS feed will let you know when something new has been published such as blog entries, news headlines, audio or video clips on a web page or blog.

The benefit of this is that you don’t have to chase updates- they come to you!

You can have these feed sent directly to your Web Browser or directly to your RSS Feeds folder in MS Outlook.

Have a look at the video below to get your head around the concept. A good place to start is to get feeds from the Wodonga TAFE website.
